Please, call me Mik. I've been a competitive athlete my entire life, and much to my mother's chagrin, my original three syllable name was a bit of a mouthful for my coaches and teammates to yell out on the court and playing fields!
I founded Philly Philms in 2004, just a couple of months after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Fine Arts and Mixed Media Design. During my four years at Penn, I was also a member of the Women's Basketball team, during which time I fell in love with the history of basketball in Philadelphia and the Palestra, the oldest, still-operating College Basketball gym in the country.
"The Palestra: Cathedral of Basketball" became my first feature-length documentary endeavor, which was successfully released by ESPN in 2007. Since then, I have overseen the growth of Philly Philms into one of the leading MultiMedia Production Companies servicing Greater Philadelphia and the Tri-State area. I currently serve as an Executive Producer with Philly Philms and Chief Director of Photography & Post Production.
In my "free time" I am also a camerawoman for the Philadelphia Phillies, and currently the only woman operating a handheld camera for in-game Phanavision producution. During the 2014 season, I became the first woman in Citizens Bank Park history to operate the dugout cameras live during games.
Prior to becoming an EP at Philly Philms, I worked at PHL17 as a MultiMedia Journalist and News Producer where I wrote, shot and edited over 400 features for air on the stations Morning News Show "Eye Opener."
On a personal level, I am almost obsessed with Crossfit as much as I am with video production. In 2013, I became a Level 1 Certified Trainer and currently coach a couple of classes at Crossfit Riverfront in Wilmington, DE including an Olympic Lifting Class.
Yo, Philly Philms!
We are a group of creative, dedicated and infectiously passionate people who are, simply put, obsessed with Production. Our more than 25 years of combined industry experience touches every corner of the MultiMedia world. We've also got some pretty interesting stories to tell...

I am a passionate story teller who draws creativity, insight and talent from my Master's Degree in History and my obsession for all things Philly (born and raised, baby!)
I first met Mik in the summer of 2004. At the time I was managing the mac and animation computer labs at the University of Pennsylvania and Mik had this crazy idea to start a video production company to develop a feature-length documentary on the Palestra. Only thing is, I didn't think her idea was all that crazy!
Fast-forward more than a decade and I now serve as an Executive Producer with Philly Philms as well as Lead Creative Writer and Director of Development.
I always strive to use creativity, authenticity, and humor as I bridge life - Reel to Real. It is my goal and main focus to use video and storytelling in projects that assist others, in partiuclar, worthy causes that greatly need increased awareness and funds. A production philosophy we at Philly Philms like to call Production for Impact.
Other talents and skills I bring to the table include Apple Computer Software/Hardware Specialist, a unique background in Sales & Marketing for Website Software, and experience producing video content for web at The Sports Network. I also like to push Mik out of the editing chair from time to time to shake things up a bit in the cutting room, putting my 10 years of FCP editing experience to good use!
On a personal level, I am a passionate sports fan (some call me fanatical) and like to spent time in my man cave, with a good IPA and a Philly Cheese Steak. But there is nothing I am more passionate about than my wife and 2 awesome boys!
